Old footage of Harari live at Kippies Club in Joburg

Harari (“Lone Wanderer”) was a legendary Afro-Rock group founded in the late 60’s by Om Alec Khaoli, Selby Ntuli and Sipho Hotstix Mabuse.

Through the years Harari supported many international acts on their tours of South Africa, including Percy Sledge, Timmy Thomas, Brook Benton, Wilson Pickett and Letta Mbulu. In 1980 they were featured on a BBC-TV documentary, and in 1981 were signed by A&M Records in the USA. Their single, Party, entered the US Disco Top 100 in 1982.
