During this period, Kassav’ toured in various countries, including the Lusophere (Cape Verde, Angola), and did a lot of regional concerts. This generated an explosion of new sub-genres such as Cabo-Zouk (Cape Verde), Kizomba (Cape-Verde, Angola, Sao Tome), and Afro-Zouk (Francophone).
